Channel 4's Food Unwrapped

Channel 4’s Food Unwrapped programme visited Allpress Farms in Cambridgeshire to learn more about how leeks are harvested to maximise freshness and minimise the time taken from field to plate.

BBC Countryfile's Harvest show on October 5 2014 featured leek grower, Tim Casey, who grows 12 million leeks a year in Lincolnshire.


Leeks Go to Good Home!!

Lincolnshire leek farmer, Tim Casey and food charity, The Gleaning Network, teamed up to harvest 1,000 kilos of surplus leeks over the Bank Holiday weekend (6.5.14) - enough for 12,500 portions - to be distributed to food and homeless charities.
